This recipe has been in my family for years and one of my favorites. But the original recipe called for corn-syrup laden ketchup and brown sugar. Here is my modification that is JUST as delicious! Guess who will be bringing these to the next family party!? They are truly addictive!
Preheat oven to
375 degrees
1 pack of REAL bacon. I get this from Trader Joe's.

1-2 cans of water chestnuts sliced or whole
Toothpicks
Ketchup
Coconut Palm Sugar
Cut bacon slices in half.
Wrap each slice around water chestnut
Poke with one toothpick
Place in glass pyrex dish
Bake at 375
degrees for 45 minutes
About 15
minutes before they are done begin to make the sauce
In a saucepan add:
1 cup of Organic Ketchup (I use Trader Joe's)
¼ cup of Coconut Palm Sugar (Whole Foods)
Heat to boiling, stir often
Take bacon/chestnuts out of over
Place on paper towel to “drain”
Put bacon/chestnuts into another deep dish and top with
sauce
ENJOY! Better grab some of these fast, or you might not get one!
